Decision-Making for Crunch Time
You’ve been making decisions all season long. Things like who to start, where your best matchups are, what pitch to call, when to change and who to change to…tons of them.
This weekend and from here on out, you’ll be making those same decisions. They won’t be any different in their nature, only in their significance.
So how do you know if the decisions you’re making are good ones or not? (Hot Tip: it’s NOT based on the outcome.)
Something cool I learned a long time ago, that made all the difference to me as far as holding onto regrets from my decisions that didn’t work out…and that is:
You CAN only control what you consider in arriving at your decision:
Strategic and Tactical things
Health Issues
Current Level of Play
You CANNOT control the Outcome:
This comes down to Execution - yours and theirs

Your angst following a decision that doesn’t work out comes from trying to control the outcome. We all want to do that, but we just can’t. To help your own mental health - consider the issues and let go of the outcomes!
This weekend keep these things in mind about YOU:
Be KIND to yourself
Remember you KNOW THINGS
You don’t have to do more than you’ve done - DO WHAT YOU DO
Evaluate What you CONSIDERD and let go of the OUTCOMES
Good Luck Everybody!
Thanks for reading this week’s Curveball Chronicles. I hope it helped give you some insight to help your pitchers, and to give yourself some grace.
Have a Great week!
